Bird Dogs by Dr Leon Mortensen. Published in New Zealand in 2003, this book is written by one of the greatest and most able gundog enthusiasts ever to come out of Australiasia. The doctor was a very experienced hunter and had bred and trialed gundogs since the 1950s. Though he was involved with Pointers and Irish Setters, it was his Wingfield English Setters which established him as a top breeder and sportsman.
